QUICK TIP: Switch Between Multiple Pinterest and Instagram Accounts

Do you have multiple Pinterest and multiple Instagram accounts?

Are you tired of logging in and out of accounts to switch between them?

If so, this tip’s for you!

Pinterest

Pinterest has added a new feature that allows you to switch between your various Pinterest accounts. This is a HUGE change, and one I’ve wished for, for a long time!

Some people have a Pinterest account for their personal use, and then another Pinterest account for their business use.

NOTE: Make sure you have created your Pinterest accounts first before following the steps below.

Here’s how to use this.

Set Up Pinterest Account Switching:

1. From your computer – log in to one of your Pinterest accounts
   NOTE: At this time, switching between accounts is only available on a computer. You cannot switch accounts like this on a mobile device.
2. Click the … icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and click on Add Account
   
3. Enter the email address and password for one of your other accounts to log in to that account
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for up to four Pinterest accounts
5. Once your accounts have been added, click on the down-arrow to the right of your account Profile Name and choose the account you want to switch to
   You can switch back and forth between accounts as often as you need to.

Instagram

Instagram has had the ability to switch between accounts for a while now. However, you can only access the switching feature on your mobile device (this feature does not work on a computer).

Like I mentioned above with Pinterest, some people have an Instagram account for their personal use, and then another Instagram account for their business use.

NOTE: Make sure you’ve created your Instagram accounts first before following the steps below.

Here’s how to use this.

Set Up Instagram Account Switching:

1. From your mobile device, log in to one of your Instagram accounts
   NOTE: At this time, switching between accounts is only available on a mobile device. You cannot switch accounts like this on a computer.
2. Tap the hamburger menu icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, then tap on Settings
   
3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen and tap on Add Account under the Logins heading
4. Enter the email address and password for one of your other accounts
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each account you want to add
   You can add up to five accounts to switch between.
6. Once your accounts have been added, click on the down-arrow to the right of your account Profile Name and choose the account you want to switch to
   You can switch back and forth between accounts as often as you need to.

Helpful Tips

• Instagram Computer Browser Workaround – If you want to switch between multiple Instagram accounts using your computer, you can open up each Instagram account into a different browser or in incognito. For example, let’s say you have four Instagram accounts. You could open one account using Google Chrome, a separate account using Incognito in Google Chrome, another account in Firefox, and another account in Incognito in Firefox. To switch between accounts, just click on the appropriate browser window for the account you want to use.
• Instagram Computer App Workaround – Another way you can switch accounts on Instagram using your computer is to use the Windows 10 Instagram App, found in the Windows App Store. Using this app is almost identical to using Instagram on your phone. Follow the steps above to add another account to Instagram using this app.
