Here’s a quick tip for you – if you want to add a telephone number to your store, without having to use your home phone number, you can get a FREE Google Voice number!
By including a phone number on your website, you provide another level of confidence to your customers – knowing they can reach a real person if they need to.
With Google Voice, you can choose a free phone number and then display that phone number on your website. You set your Google Voice account up so if anyone calls your Google Voice number, it will ring through to whichever phone(s) you want to receive the call on. For example, I have my Google Voice number ring through to my home number, but you can use a cell phone as well.
With Google Voice, you record an outgoing message that your customers will hear when you are not available, and they can leave a voice message. You receive your voice messages via email. It’s really slick!
